This was inspired by a book I read quite a while ago: The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. Morozko is a character in a Russian fairy tale. Of course the Morozko in the book is described to look younger, but I don't find it difficult to imagine him as an ancient and cold winter king either.
