hmm. on second thought, i think i'd rather present this one as just a straight up image, for the sake of the effect. so here's the finalized copy! The link's busted. Does not work at all. *cries* But the picture is heartbreakingly sweet despite the blood and the thing in the sword that looks like it's still hungry. I love the crying man's smile and the tenderness in the canine. Is the girl in the background staring at what's reflected in the sword or at the owner of that hand?

the carnage ; ;. the point of the picture was to see through the victims eyes, but i think i failed out.. the angle didn't nearly go as well as i'd hoped. but it was still very sad/pretty/got most of the message across, so i was happy with it ^ ^

I keep coming back to this pic for some reason..couldn't bring myself to delte it from the deviations section...when all I had to do is fave it..but still I couldn't. Every time I see it I get all teary eyes..seriously..I really adore it ^^

The hand at the bottom of the picture scared me so much ;__; I love the sword, it's really pretty. <3 The guy is so sad ;_; I love the red-orange colour, it came out super good.

This picture triggers deep, primal emotions within me: what I call the Hero Reaction. An urge to rescue, to protect, to foolheartedly risk my own life as I dash in headlong with flashing blades.
I think it's the crying girl. Or maybe the monstrous reflection in the sword. Possibly both.
In any case, this is a beautiful, suggestive and very, very powerfull picture. I applaud it.
