This is really cool, I've seen ideas like this and the composition is just..blah or too cluttered, but this is a really nice job. As others have said, the fan being in focus would have made this an awesome picture, and I'm not sure if the background really goes, but this is lovely either way.

the blur is intentional to get the feeling that the objects are being blown by the fan - if I had left them perfect it would give the feeling that they were just dangling - The movement is real with no effect added - glad ya liked it - I have another shot that I'm working on but I'm gonna need some help on it so speak ta ya soon

I think the blur contributes to the symbolism in this image greatly.
Propaganda is both blury and blurs the sight of its focused audience.

What i was striving for was to give the effect that the objects were moving in front of the fan. if they had been too clean it would have looked like they were just dangling. In the end just playing with shutter speed i was able to capture what I was striving for. Your interpretation is interesting and most welcome as you have highlighted for me something that I had not seen - so thank you

This is a cool shot, and good composition. I like the colours and all. but the full size shot is a bit blurry. perhaps use a tripod next time? The smaller version looks great though.

You got me - no I wasn't using a tripod as I was concentrating on the effect in the shot - By blurry I hope that you are speaking about the background and the fan - I was striving to get the right balance where the seeds appeared both clean and blurry so that a sense of movement is acheived to the objects but at the same time get some clean enough so as to show the sharp barbs. I will take the advice though and go for a tripod - Thank you

yeah, had the fan been a bit more in focus, this shot would have been amazing. but yeah, the blurry seed pods is cool.

Next time I give one of these a try I'm goint to spend alot more time trying to get it just right - all the comments that I've recieved has really helped
