This photo is actually a little old ... don't know why I haven't gotten around to post it, oh, well...

Anyway, I basically did the catering for my friend's 18th birthday party that was on the 26th of August. I wanted to do cupcakes instead of a cake and these were the trial runs (I don't think I took any photo's of the final cupcakes, but I'll see if my friends have some).

I made three flavours: Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate-coffee icing (Racheal (the birthday girl) is a bit of a coffee-holic ) which are the dark cupcakes, vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing, which have that two-tone white and purple icing, and caramel cupcakes with caramel-flavoured icing, pictured as the light purple cupcakes.

They were awesomely fun to make, especially as I got to try out my new piping nozzle for the massive amount of icing I put on them. Seriously, I was freaking out for a week about those nozzles <3 The best part was that Racheal loved them, so I was satisfied.
