Personality: update: tl;dr Now tries her best to look out for her family and be an upstanding law enforcer. The methods required for the latter can get pretty.. extreme
Honest, Optimistic || Stubborn, Naïve || Aggressive, Single-minded
Her predecessors’ past contributions to the field of magic always casts an ever-growing shadow to the more recent generation Shir-Dels, and thus they are highly expected to measure up to their established standards. Compared to her elder siblings however, Rohayu came to learn that he was born the black sheep of the family. As a result, Rohayu developed a case of severe inferiority complex and had to put up a respectable front not only as a proud child of a talented family, but also to make up for her lack of magical prowess. Much to her mother's chagrin, this translates into maintaining a haughty, unapproachable facade in the face of socializing but this does not extend towards her loved ones, however.
By the time she joined the Imperial army Rohayu came to develop a strict demeanor in all forms of mingling, be it formal or just idle chat, except when in the company of her family and close relations. Her responses often come out as blunt and straightforward as possible. Dealing with unreasonable peers had taught Rohayu not to expect the other party to stand on equal grounds, and if both sides had their fair share to speak their minds. Well, she had it ingrained in her head that someone had to make the first move.
Rohayu is absolutely determined when it comes to making end's meet. Long story short, the lass is easily agitated; and in her foulest moods she sees everything as a challenge. Even the smallest of problems overlooked troubles her to no end – she always seem to find something to occupy herself with and ends up restless. Her commitment tends to cloud her judgment- and often develops an unhealthy dedication to reach for a definite closure to her tasks. She won't hesitate to come up with a workaround to see it through.
Otherwise, she’s rather confident that any issues can be see through, and a fond believer that anything is possible with enough love and dedication. But this does not attribute much to her understanding that some things are only achievable with privilege, however.
History:
It was believed that the Shir-Dels might have begun from a handful of migrating dark elves for their knack of preserving great magic, their more recent association with elves of other colour made this more believable. Be as it may, the fact that they have great tolerance towards potent ether still stands. It seems natural for them to involve themselves in the art of magic-taming and insisted that it would stay that way for centuries to come.
For the recent generations of the Shir-Dels it was made clear that they’ve had very little options for their future decisions. Either uphold the family tradition of dabbling into magic or take the safer route and join the army. It was incredibly difficult for one young Rohayu, she was born the youngest of three and bear the most likeness to the current head of Shir-Del, but none of her magical prowess. Ral was fully aware of her carefree child-rearing is a constant subject of harsh judgement among the lesser known Shir-Dels, but with her own successor guaranteed she doted on her youngest child for obvious reasons, letting her daughter pursue her own dreams. The pressure of patronizing elderly shaped to what Rohayu currently is, but the final straw is when she was faced with blatant disgust. Rohayu went away to spend the rest of her teenage years studying in military school and and joined the army as soon as she was of age.
At this point, Rohyu proved herself to be a capable fighter and devoted into honing her physical skills- going as far as becoming a disciple, whatever magical ability she lacked she made up with strength and speed. She could have moved on joining the imperial guards, if not for the camaraderie she’s formed between her fellow colleagues and having developed an infatuation to a superior of hers. There were two different kinds of admiration involved, but her conscience tells her to prioritize her job- so she could only hold them in the highest of respect. In the end, she was rather content remaining in the army as a foot soldier and resumed to her millitary trainings.
Then one evening an incident took place, it was one she very much regretted; it was meant to be a simple delivery at the last minute. The second Rohayu and her squad reached their destination with the delivery in hand, they were ambushed by a horde of peacekeepers. Amidst the confusion, their delivery was confiscated and disclosed an incredibly large amount of moonshowers and what seemed to be an unconscious person among other things. But upon close inspection the head turned out to be separated from it bodily parts.
They were sent to detention and took several months before the investigation was concluded, as the perpetrator- none other than Rohayu’s subject of affection- was arrested red-handed for carrying yet another delivery. But as their names were cleared of any violations they found out that the guilty superior was only sentenced to serve for a very brief time in prison. It didn't even last for half a year. Visibly shocked and disappointed, Rohayu along with several of her colleagues left the army, deciding they have better things to do. Rohayu she was very aware of her now spoiled reputation and too ashamed to remain any longer in the army, but at the same time the very experience inspired her to consider another line of work she haven't thought of in years.
Eventually she took up her uncle’s offer in joining the Peacekeepers. Started out as an apprentice assisting her seniors in their investigations, the young lady wasn't expecting the abundance of paperwork and endured as she was lowered to menial tasks: from pacifying bar fights to chasing down muggers (much to her mother’s disappointment) in her earlier years. However she regretted not having joined the order much earlier now that she knew how relevant it became to her homeland's security, coming into contact with its convoluted underground activities. In a twist of irony, her first debut involved a serial case of illicit smuggling, ending quite successfully after she persuaded her seniors into taking numerous train rides and trespassing some private airships tracing its source back to Linhyte. Rohayu was finally promoted as a full-fledged Peacekeeper as she's proven her proficiency in crime-solving and now carries her own investigations, though at the discretion of the upperhands of the Peacekeepers.
Additional info:
- The Shir-Dels valued strength in their magical prowess, which is why they came to maintain a strong line of mages. A common belief was that the essence of dragon runs in their blood through the first Shir-Del, who was thought to be a dragon. The more logical conclusion was the first Shir-Del may have been a conjurer with a partiality for shape-shifting, or maybe someone had bestiality with a dragon. But what remains true is that the Shir-Dels guards their lineage like a dragon, though the younger generation seems to becoming more tolerant of non-mages especially when they're all facing the same pressure exerted by their elders.
- The family is even more notorious in gambling, apparently.
- Rohayu was originally born in Tusa, but now joins the rest of her family residing permanently in the heart of Song-lu.
- Rohayu got the wood elf blood running courtesy of her half-elf father. If you pay close attention when she's not looking, her ears are slightly pointed.
- She values her family greatly, but preferred to avoid the extended part of it. Rohayu tries to make her participation in family gatherings as brief as possible.
- Due to the above point^ she prefers to be called by her first name, rather than have herself associated to the family. Rohayu also started to use the codename Lentia gave her- 'Gale' more often.
- Her time in military school pretty much messed up her tastebuds. If one isn't careful, anybody could fall victim to her disastrous cooking.
- Keeps a lot of acquaintances (deemed essential for her job) and only a handful of friends- consists of those able to put up with her rotten peoples' skills.
- Incredibly sensitive to her height. Poking fun on it won't tell where the sharp end of her scabbard might end up.
- Rohayu doesn't consider herself that much of a believer, but her Tusar origin bids that her faith lies on Mareus. But like the rest of the Shir-Dels, her mindset is pretty outdated. She comes from an old family after all.
- Vikasa is her mother tongue, but mainly speaks in Common and Songhuan

The young son of a prostitute left homeless after the brothel he was living in was raided in one of Rohayu's crackdowns. She felt responsible for leaving the boy in the streets, but it wasn't after she discovered that the boy's father was a rogue mage and subsequently Shui's magical abilities that Rohayu was determined to take the boy under her shelter. It didn't took long for Shui to complete capture her heart and for him to fit in with the big family, Rohayu treats and love him as if he was her own blood.
Jun von Vogal (Husband)
Their engagement was an arrangement made without Rohayu's notice while she was bedridden following the last Mirian attack. While she initially kept positive about the arrangement, she was quickly disappointed the second Jun made his first impression and made clear of his intentions. The first few months was a rocky road and a significant period of them testing each other's patience, but eventually they come to a mutual agreement, and it took several near-death experiences for them to finally get close. As of month of Fires Year of Coins, 8294 the two are officially married couple and Rohayu is now bearing their first child.
Seifer Soejima (Maternal Uncle)
The younger brother of Ral Shir-Del, and Rohayu's uncle. A senior investigator in the Peacekeepers, Rohayu respects him as much as the next peacekeeper, though the reason the uncle and niece got so close in the first place was their status as the few black sheeps in the family. The older Shir-Del is determined to embarrass his niece at every opportunity proven extremely difficult to take him seriously at all, but the older man very much dedicate his entire life to his work.
Lentia Renova (Junior and former apprentice)
Assigned to Rohayu as her partner and first ever apprentice. They got along quickly from the start and in a matter of two years became inseparable. Rohayu has plenty of respect towards towards her junior not only as a capable fighter and partner but also for her resilience, and thus she's grown to care deeply for her junior-- even if some of her thoughtless actions drives her crazy. The girls may treat and think each other as sisters, though Rohayu acts more of a surrogate mother to Lentia and is predictably protective of the girl.
Sergei Farrouk (Older Brother)
Rohayu's elder brother. After his recovery from his coma, the two siblings had a fall-out regarding the succession of the family head which ended with Sergei renouncing his name and the Shir-Del family for good. He went missing when he was stationed in the North Colony following the earthquake that occurred, and Rohayu blames herself for his disappearance when the investigations turned up nothing.
Andros Rhodon (Childhood friend and little brother figure)
Younger brother in all but blood. The childhood friend Rohayu grew up with ever since he was still in his swaddling clothes, the two of them treated each other as if they were real siblings. Rohayu was initially dismayed by his unfortunate life decisions and thus putting them in opposite sides for a good period, but now that Andros has turned a new leaf, she is more than happy to support her baby brother figure.

oohh as I recall the other peacekeeper wasn't a Song-luan but he was a dark elf for sure..!! Roro made it an unspoken rule not poke fun on her height tho (she'll probably refuse to acknowledge the tiny height difference between Tia and herself.. ahah..)

drawr is pretty much the same except you have the option to adjust the canvas size(either the main entry or replying) and replay the whole drawing process (it records it!) but now that I remember, almost all of drawr is in JP so I guess I shouldn't recommend that.. /_\

pretty sure I'll be doing a regular festival scene nobody can fault me for wanting to draw pretty dresses!! (also btw I'm uploading a doodle of Tia and Roro in a bit, you'll know it when you see it)
ALRIGHT! SOOOoooooooo, I just finished watching the mummy two, and I got this idea where these girls meeting each other for the first time in Song-Lu (an hour after mid-night), the superior / supervisor introduces them with each other and send them on a caravan to Tusa (he practically shoves Tia to Roro and tell the older one that the raven is now in her care). They're thinking about doing a stake out mission but then it'll turn out to be harder than that and probably leads into a disaster for these two! Including stranded on the desert and lost in some kind of tomb / pyramid = 7 = //bricked
Haha, yes! Both will definitely run and disguise a lot! I also have this some sort of combo in my mind when they encountering enemies, Tia will throw the first strike and Roro will end it! It'll be a pure coincidence and then they'll be like 'hey it's pretty cool, we should perfect that moves and adding some veriation once we're back in the base!' and then it's going to be their routine

ngl I imagined the superior/supervisor to be Roro's detective uncle 40.media.tumblr.com/8389c7568a… so he'd introduce himself as detective Shir-Del and Roro would also introduce herself as detective Shir-Del and confuse the heck out of Tia, Roro might prolly be taking it hard because how was she not informed about this sooner???? the prospect of having a junior to look after is just too great of a task
THEY'RE GOING TO RORO'S HOMETOWN Roro would think that it's better as a rookie Tia would just observe at first and they'd argue what's the best out of the peacekeepers' protocol, their stake out mission going awry when their target gets increasingly uncomfortable/suspicious and it turns into a goose chase down the Tusar road. They get stranded in the desert and lead themselves into some old ruins, possibly a) stumbling into a smuggling den b) hideout of a slightly notorious crime ring c) a nest (of something quite possibly large and territorial).
it works the other way around too!! on times when Roro's blade wouldn't work the way it's suppose to so she'd trust Tia to finish the enemy off while she holds them up *-* the two would probably deal a lot of ambush attacks imo

at some point I made these two as father and daughter in AUs of other rp groups but that's a story for another time!! in the end I just settled with them being uncle and niece when I found out their class histories don't go well with Roro's background ^q^;; Tia let me tell you there should be another (older) Detective Shir-Del but she's already enjoying her retirement aka Roro's mom
oh my god I really think anybody could get killed in a fire tornado except for mages maybe, technically all Shir-Dels settled in Song-lu/Koben but by the end of their Wild desert adventure they could hang out at her Tusar grandparents' place!
