My nuclear nightmare...Every now and then this bad dream returns to me.
Usually I find myself somewhere around the place where I was born. I'm alone or with people I've not seen before doing ordinary stuff, then the huge rockets come flying by and soon after the mushrooms appear...closer and closer.
Sometimes I run, sometimes I let the blast and the waves of particles and radiation hit me as I know I've no chance of escaping. I can swear I am able to feel the heat of the blast in my dreams.
The scene changes from each dream but the nukes and their destruction don't...
This is the first time in my life that I paint something from my dreams or nightmares..and it felt kinda weird doing so..
Painted over less than an evening, reference used for face.
Photoshop and a wacom intuos 3 tablet.

Sure, yeah, that makes a lot of sense! It's still an absolutley beautiful picture. You must feel so... accomplished to be able to bring your dreams to life in such detail that you feel you are living them again. I dunno, that's always been my dream.

I read up on the subjects dreams:nuclear explosions and it said it meant great changes and alot of buildt up energy in a person

Dreams are strange,shocking,or bizarre. The most i didn't remember but some Dreams you dont forget.
Last Night , i dream about a city in the sky and persons who live there (iam too) , and a guy rules over this city with strange experiments and bacterias. People get sick or healthy o__O

I have dreampt so real that I could feel the gravel beneath my feet, and feel the breath of the man standing behind me on the back of my neck.
When we dream like that, we don't get much rest and we wake up feeling like we have just finished running a marathon, or doing heavy lifting as our muscles were tense all night.
It is a good idea to keep a dream journal. Helps to get the immages from head to paper...

I had a dream similar to that, except that I wasn't near the blast - just the fallout. There is most certainly a powerful psychological effect, as I felt weak and sickly that entire next day, @_@

I've read somewhere that dreaming of a nuclear explosion, signals a great change.

Ooh, I hate those dreams where it seems like you can really feel whatever's happening is ACTUALLY HAPPENING! Those dreams are really shpooky...*shudder*

Yeah, I know...I've "felt" both heat and cold, electricity and wind blown in my face...but the most sickening feel is when I sometimes dream I can pass through mirrors...like when I really concentrate, the glass fragments into tiny pieces and is sounds like glass and ice is shattering everywhere...and when I lose concentration, my hand or face etc is stuck in the mirror.
Freaky stuff....I don't know what I've done to deserve dreams like these

Oh yeah. Like there's this one dream I have, like, twice every year where I'm walking down this hallway and someone's following behind me, and iturns out to be this killer guy! And then I turn the same corner every time, only to reach a dead end...Well, the killer eventually comes up behind me and stabs me in my heart with a knife...Then I wake up and my chest starts hurting, or I feel out of breath like I' been running around..

a lot of times when i feel things in my dreams, it feels as if something is hindering my natural abilities. Sometimes i feel weak, sometimes i can barely see..and then im pitted against something where those abilities would really be useful...damn mind wants to drive itself crazy....and feeling stuff like heat and pain in dreams is creepy, but i think it happens to everyone once in a while
