Description
This part 2 of my first submission of CCS drawings. They both come from an artbook, I don't have the name of it because these two were an art assignment from my art instructor. The coloring work on this one is better as you can see the image is a lot brighter than the first one. The original costume color for this particular drawing was red, but my instructor allowed me to explore other colors so I chose my favorite: blue. Both images were done with color pencils and I like this one a little more than the other one.Related content

I did use a reference picture for this. It's one of the images in the official CCS artbooks.

1. The pencil lineart: Very crisp and clean, in general.
2. The coloring and shading: very nice for a color pencil illustration. The direction of lighting is consistent, even though the staff could use some shine on it.
3. The pose: I swore I saw this pose before on the official artwork of CCS somewhere, but either way, it's very good.
4. Facial expression: good for this picture.
5. Background: The usage of stars in this photo is nearly impeccable for this.
6. There are some areas of the pioture that have white speckles that needed to be cleaned up.
7. This is best viewed without using Full View.

Thank you! I did a little better on this one than the first one, first one got pencil smudged real bad. LOL she looked like she was playing in the dirt!

Nope, not digi or marker, it's color pencil. I used Prisma color pencils. Wish I could use markers well enough. ^^X;;

Thank you very much! The peach girl pictures are also in color pencil. Hopefully I'll move on to watercolor and marker, but that will be a long ways away.

A very cute little drawing. The shape and the technical aspects are generally well done. I can't help that feel that this could still be cleaned up a bit more. For one, the shadow and the small part of another want is showing on the left side. You might want to crop that up a bit. You might also want to get a bigger contrast between colours and the paper as that might help you in the way of looking more polished.

Take your drawing/pic (you can view your deviation, right-click and save it onto your hard drive if you don't have it on there yet)
Open it in Paint and at the top, choose Image>Stretch and Skew (or Ctrl+W ^^)
Depending on how small you want it, enter a number under 100 (for example 50% would be half its original, 25% would be one-fourth)
Put in the same percentage for Horizontal and Vertical in the Stretch (don't touch the settings under Skew)
Click OK and your pic's resized ^^ Just resubmit it! Hope it worked XD

Once again you managed to create sakura just like she looks. Really good.
I have to agree that the use of blue really makes this image more special. If you used red it's combination with the yellow stars and the colors of the staff would make the image a tad boring. That is why I think that using blue gave it a more balanced look in terms of colors.
