Pride Month is here and is in the air…and what better way to spend it, than with the person you like or love, platonically or not. For Nova Yale and Shona Lunar, this is no exception. What better way to spend the day for these two, than go out and spend some time together!

Hi, there guys and happy pride month to you all! To celebrate this month here on YouTube, I’ve been working on two videos that I will upload during this month. This animatic is the first of the two videos that I am working on.

Roughly a month ago, I was listening to some of the songs from the movie Strange Magic. Then I listened to the track ‘I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)’ and that was when this idea popped into my head and I knew I just had to make it for this month. Originally this was going to be the full song with a mixture of canon LGBTQ couples from shows, games, anime, etc and OC ones too. However, there wasn’t enough time to make the full thing. So I decided to do what was going to be the opening section of the song and the little intro to it too. I might make the full version of the song next June, but I’ll have to see if I want to do that or not.

I knew I had to do this with my OCs Shona Lunar and Nova because they perfectly fit the opening part of this song. Plus, I wanted to make something with them in it, where the tone and the mood are mostly wholesome, cute and…well, fluffy and warm. So this animatic was the perfect chance to try that out. As mentioned in the video and above this part of the description, the colours were inspired by Flaire Xrei. However, the rest of the animatic and the use of colours are different from the animatic that inspired visual colours for it because I didn’t want it to be the same and I wanted to make it different in terms of style and how the colours and visuals are used and played around. All of this playing around and trying it out resulted in the animatic you see here.

As mentioned earlier, I will be working on another short video for this month, but I will still be taking my time with it. So please be patient until it is done and uploaded for you all to see. Then after that, it’ll take a good bit of time until the next video is done, as the next one will take a bit longer to make.
