Description
Hello all! In summer of 2015 I started a project to help increase my drawing skill. I decided that I would go through the many “how to draw” books that I have and actually draw what was in them.
The first book I am going through is titled “Thunder Lizards; How to Draw Fantastic Dinosaurs”, by Steve Miller. The book features the art of many artists, but the drawings that I mostly did were based on the art of Bryan Baugh and Brett Booth. I do not claim the poses or animals as mine, they are simply my takes on the instructions provided. Should anyone involved in the book see these, I thank you for helping to create this resource.
Anyway, I have been drawing dinosaurs all my life, and I felt that this book would be a great place to start my project. These are not supposed to be scientifically accurate works, only excersizes in drawing. So, without further ado;
Utahraptor, the former closest to real life Jurassic Park raptor. These were a large theropod that lived in North America during the Cretaceous period. They would have been about the weight of a polar bear, and would have been absolutely terrifying.
Color! At least, early experiments with it. Ive learned things since then, but its a good place to start. Again, the feathers arent as they should be and I apologize for that.
