Featuring: (from left to right) Lestat de Lioncourt from The Vampire Chronicles, Asmodean from The Wheel of Time and Dorian Gray from The Picture of Dorian GrayDate Completed: 28th May 2004
Media: 2B lead pencil (sketch), black drawing ink, white drawing ink, K-513 Neopiko marker
The first series of bishounen-ised and overly-stylised depictions of my favourite literary villains. XD Basically, what started out as an exercise in figures quickly turned into a gratuitous pose-fest. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, right?? Besides, black and red are classic villainous colours!
Each character also has a specific detail that sets him apart, such as the blood on Lestat, since he's a vampire and all. Asmodean has his harp (if the angle is unrealistic, just say that he's not so much playing as posing cockily). And of course, Dorian's picture in all its curlicued oddness.

Oh gosh, have you by any chance read any of the James Asher books by Barbara Hambly? Because Don Simon Ysidro would be totally flattering in your interpretation.

I think I like your taste in books too. But how you captured Dorian Gray, I couldn't have imagined it better. He's perfect, and Asmodean and Lestat are wonderful too, but Gray's my definet favorite. Keep it up! ^^

This is an amazing piece. I love it. Lestat's awesome, although he's a bit of an annoying narrator... excessively passionate, sensual, always getting distracted, weird mood swings, strange ways of expressing stuff... He looks like a total hottie here, tho'. ^.~ The blood's a nice touch. Dorian Gray was WAY creepy. I love that book. The only one here I don't like is Asmodean. Mostly because of the "Who Killed Asmodean?" puzzle. XD

I saw this picture quite a while ago while I was lurking about online. It captured me, with its blend of bishounen and dark mixed with hints of colours. I like how both Lestat and Dorian have their eyes covered, kind of representing the lack of a full image, the lack of all the details to understand who they truely are, the secrets they hide.....
And finally, i find it again, this beautiful picture, and I compliment you on how wonderful it is. Most definately a favourite from me, and do please keep up the good work. You leave me in awe.
