Description
This is a painting I started yesterday and finished today. >_> I didn't think I'd get done so fast. o_O Took about 5 hours. D8This is now my independent project for school... I started a bunch of other things, but never really stuck with them. D; I like this one the most anyhow.
AND AUGH, IT LOOKS SO BAD WITH A CAMERA SHOT. D8< Looks so much better irl. T^T But don't all paintings?
That little dragon in there is my character, Charu. D8 HEE <3
and I WAS trying to paint this: [link] but failed epically on the clouds, and it was turning out to look like ice more anyhow, so that's what I went with. I'm glad I did so. >w< Ice was so much fun to paint~
I love pictures with a huge background and small characters, plus having it really dark, and there being only a little bit of strong light. >w< Look so awesome to my eyes~
I need to do more paintings. 8C

I finaly get to comment this wich I have been wanting to in so long.
...a little bit flabbertgasted at the lack of comments, however. (wich means I need to feautre this, or get it featured somehow >_>; )
When I know you put alot of time and effort into this..it bugs me to see lack of feedback. Especialy an artist as skilled as you are.
I think this is one of my favorite pieces from your gallery. It almost looks digitaly done, until full viewed.
And like I've said to you and my mom (while showing her this)I've never seen painted ice before...it's rarely done as far as I know and this is breath taking.
And...is that Charu? Jus' a guess, because..it looks like her. xD
I love how everything looks so slippery and wet.
You may not have been able to do clouds, but you've painted something ten times more complicated (imo) here.

and I didn't even look at ice to paint this. D: It all came from my head, which my teacher talked to me about. >_>'' bah
Yes, that's Charu! 8D She was fun to paint in here, even though many people say I should have made her go with the background more. xD OH WELL, I like that she's popped out. D:
The trick to making something look either shiny or wet is white dots/lines in certain places~ I love whiiiiiiite aaaaaaaaah

It gives it a real domineering sense, like, the character's not the whole focus of the picture.

Ice, I think it looks awesomer than clouds here! (and this is coming from a cloud-lover here, 'wispy' for goodness' sake)
The tall back-lit icespires and waterfalls give the picture majesty, and the deep cavern gives it mystery. 
that gap in the ice takes a distinctly creature-like shape, not sure if it was intended or not but looks awesome!
X3 Charu stands out perfectly from the blue.

Really good work. Even if they were origianlly supposed to be clouds, you did a perfect job on turning it into ice in the background. Quick question: do your class mates know exactly who Pierce, Charu, ect. are? Or do you just pasively look at them in the painting and don't ask questions?
