Description "What is it this time, Sam?" Lisa asked wearily, rubbing her eyes. "Budweiser Clydesdales? Or a team of ponies for driving? OTTBs? Or no, wait, is it another pregnant mare that he 'didn't know' was carrying?"

"Erm, not quite," Dean put in, saving Sam from needing to answer. "It's more like--"

"She's giant," the trainer interrupted. She stopped in her tracks to stare at the palest of four mares walking around the ring while four more stalls were prepped.

"... Yeah. That."

Sam ran a hand through his hair and leaned on the railing. "Yeah, uh... she's... she's only just over seventeen," he tried, but Lisa was already shaking her head.

"Seventeen hands or not, she's built on a massive scale. ... Graceful mover, though... she'd bring home ribbons in dressage I'd bet," she observed, catching herself and giving her head a harder shake. "No, no, they can't-- Alfred can't just-- No!!"

Dean exchanged a glance with Sam that clearly said, "She's losing it."

"I heard my name," the blonde himself announced, sauntering up with a ready grin. "Am I in trouble again?"

"You are the trouble!" Lisa snapped, whirling on him and poking him none-too-gently in the chest. "When is it going to stop, Al?! We didn't need four more mares!!"

"All but the pinto are good for lessons," he pointed out, holding both hands up palm-out in a defensive manner. "And I can work on her training, rein her in a little, she'll be great--"

Lisa let out a sound that was something between a growl and a scream, and all three males present inadvertently took a step back. "You aren't listening!!" she accused. "You hear us, sure, but you haven't listened! We've already got 'round ninety horses, what made you think we need four more?! In what world is it just okay to go buy four horses when we had no warning and not enough people to take care of all of them?! Your brother and I just hired someone else to help with the horses because the staff are close to being overworked as it is and you just go and introduce four more to the mix-- where are we going to put them?! Even if it were possible for all of them to be exercised every day like they need to be, nothing replaces paddock time, which all of them need at some point or another!! We can't overload each paddock to the point where nothing grows because there's always at least four horses in there and whether you know it or not it actually costs money to build more fencing--"

"Lisa, Lise, breathe," Dean cut in, catching the dark-haired trainer's shoulders and spinning her around so she wasn't facing Alfred anymore. Somewhere around her third sentence, she'd gone from speaking forcefully to all but shouting every other word, and the sound was beginning to carry over to the new horses in the arena and a few others in paddocks nearby. Said horses were getting anxious, milling around and uncertain about this new development. "It's okay. We're not sending them back where they came from, we have space for them, and I'm going to help Kim and Jordan make sure they get worked every other day. We'll talk to Rich and make sure he knows. Okay? Yes?"

"I'm not a child in need of consolation," she chided, shrugging his hands off, but her heart wasn't in it. He was correct, though-- she needed to regain control of her temper. It's been a long time since I lost my head like that. "... Before anything else happens, you and I are going to talk to your brother. We're going to talk to your brother, and we're going to get things straight. You can't just keep bringing horses in, Al."

"I don't know, it's been working pretty well so far--"

"Don't," she snapped, cutting him off mid-sentence. "Just... don't. Try it on your brother instead. I'm not going to hear it this time. Dean, Sam... please make sure the names go on the stall doors, nothing's wrong with the stalls, add two more halters--"

"Add their barn names to the feeding board, sort out which paddocks they'll go in, and leave them in tonight so they aren't bothered until morning," Dean finished, giving her a nod. "We'll get it sorted."

Because I definitely didn't have enough horses already. And there may be quite a few more on the way, somewhere in the neighborhood of thirty. At least.

But fear not; I have a plan. And chances are, the horses are not going to like it.

I somehow doubt that, seeing as the last time I watched it was... somewhere a few episodes past when Cas got introduced. I've been doing quite well staying away from it. My life is preserved, muahaha!
