Tako is a Japanese Yokai monster folklore in Aomori Prefecture.

One blind man took a shelter in an abandoned house on a hill. During the night, the man was singing a song to entertain himself being alone. Suddenly voice of a woman asked the man to sing a couple of songs for her. The blind man sang a few songs for the woman. The woman introduced herself as Tako and warned the blind man that if he tells anyone about her, he'll be dead.

The blind man went down to a village and told villagers about the woman, then he suddenly died. Right after that, the woman appeared at the village telling villagers not to talk about her. The villagers blocked her way back to the hill by placing fences. The woman realised that she can't go back to the hill, then she became a snake and died.
