Wow, usually when I see "realistic" styles of drawing him, it goes uncanny valley and doesn't seem like the character at all. But you really managed to hit the balance between his familiar animated self and a more realistic style.
I always wonder what it is about the animation that is somehow so attractive. I mean, objectively he looks kind of strange with the outfit and the hair, but is inexplicably good-looking somehow. You did a great job of identifying those elements and bringing them out!
