Huge problem about the "Rules."........everybody views them differently. The people who go on "Reporting Sprees" are the ones who don't bother reading them, or translates them into, "If I'M offended by this, then I'll report it......and all the other work done by this artist." That's the REAL problem with the "Terms of Use."
Do artists goof up once in a while? Yes. Are some things borderline? Yes. Too many great artists get havok because of people who don't give a hoot about the rules, and instead report ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING they simply do not like.
Besides, I'll bet anything you are not a perfect artist who follows the rules perfectly yourself.
Oh, and here's the thing. It's never actually mentioned in the movie (both of them) how old Ariel actually is. It's simply ASSUMED she is "Under Age" because she is a Disney Princess.

Fair enough....but in the second one, she has a daughter, which means she is CLEARLY older than 18. You can't just take the "Original appearance" as the only guideline for deciding how old a character is.

Is this piece explicit nudity though? When I think of the word βexplicit,β I think of bringing out details; hence the prefix βexβ right? Sheβs covered up here for one. Also, mermaids are typically depicted as being nude so perhaps this was a step in the right direction to cover her up for the picture? π€. Just my thoughts. Great piece here!

Yeah I get it. Iβm not against it either. I just think it gets confusing at certain times. Ariel May be a minor in the first movie but she isnβt in the second one. Plus, the way the art is drawn clearly showed an adult Ariel. Then, as I said, due to the lore of mermaids, it wasnβt really sexualized any more or less than a typical mermaid. So the sexualization thing is a bit subjective with a piece like that. I donβt believe it βclearlyβ violated the terms. But, thatβs just my opinion though so lol. All is well that ends well!
