If you look in the Times Magazine, Page 18-19 of the Canadian Edition (it might be the same for US, I don't know) Sept 20, 2004, you will see that just behind you Anthony Suau took a photograph that seems to be at the same moment. I looked at the angle, Suau took the photo of Kerry facing the main audience, he was at Kerry's left side, by the angle, it seems you were at his right side. In fact, you just might be in his photo. Eerie eh? And by your photo you must of been facing away from Kerry. No? Tell me if I am close?

beautiful shot. I too like the silouettes. I bet this would also look really powerful in black&white!

One thing about America that puts us all in aw, even here in Canada, is its strong roots in democratic ways. I like how some silouettes seemed to be at ease, leaning on a post, arms crossed, heads aloof watching the balloons, etc etc... nice shot!

Agreed with the above, great shot , sweet timing. Just darken everything to completely dark silhouettes in ps

I agree...this shot would be awesome with darker silhouettes were darker.
The title bugs me as well...but its just because im not a kerry fan....but im going to keep polotics out of this.
Awesome shot though. Maybe with some photoshopping it owuld kick butt.
