Description
Original sketch by the always amazing Art Thibert ( aethibert ). You can see his original here: fav.me/daoz9ueI wanted to practice inking but, my own sketches do not offer the right lighting or balance yet. Art has some of the tightest lines out there and I would love to emulate his inking someday. Or Blasterkid but, I have to get better with the stuff I have before I invest in the good equipment. For now, I have a Pigma Brush pen, Pigma Micron 08 and a Uni-ball Gel pen UM-153 White.

The highlights around the chin are good. Practice transitioning from light grey to black. It will improve how realistic hair is. Inking other inkers work will help develope muscle memory and shorten the learning curve.

Thanks! That helps a lot! This was my first time trying and I only had 2 pens. I have a full set of microns now. I still need to try actual ink and nibs. Gotta crawl before I walk though! lol!
