IΒ΄m not sure if the majority of Slavic warriors in that time were able to afford a chainmail.
I know that slavic people in the Elbe area (West Slavs) mostly used Leather armor with a padded gambeson under it. Only the wealthy ones, like nobles and merchants were able to afford a chainmail protection.
Maybe sheΒ΄s a noble woman. ^^ But all in all you did a good job on this drawing the details on the Hauberg and her entire outift looks excellent.

Sure, there were mostly leather armor. But in our culture chainmail is very-very popular, so, when we draw regular slavic warrior we draw chainmail, when he is nobleman (usually) we draw lamelar

Well, a very interesting fact. I know that the chainmail spread among the common people when the plated armor appeared. This happened all over europe during the end of the 14th century. IΒ΄m not sure how it was in the Rus during that time since the Mongol and persian influence was very strong in that region.
Well, the slavic culture ended here in north-east germany with the conquer of the Slavic Kingdoms by the Saxons in the 12th Century.

Actually, the chainmail has appeared in Rus earlier than in western Europe for 200 years (VIII-IX).

The chainmail for itself is far older then that. The oldest find was made in bohemia and is from a celtic grave from the time around the 8th century B.C.
But Scale armor and Lamellar armor are far older then the chainmail and found their way, like the Chainmail, to the Rus by trading with the Byzantine Empire and Eastern Nomads.
