true story!
Many years ago I was doing a horse management course.
Part of the course was to go to the big stables in Moore Park
in Sydney and look around. It was that time of year when the auctions were on.
The Australian Easter Yearling Sale catalog reads as a global who's who of the turf. Serious big money here by the world's richest.
I sneaked into the auction and got a rush of excitement. Bids started at $10.000 and quickly passed the million mark.
The last horse came out but had some skin missing due to a fall. Bids were called starting at 10K You guessed it!
I wanted to experience the feeling of bidding! Awww aw.. (Sam Kinison type of yell LOL)
Being a cautious and timid person I chickened out and did not raise my hand.
No one else bid on that horse!
Had I bid, I would have had to run out of there like my life depended on it.
No fibs.

Haaaa, yes! I never cared that much for him or Jerry Lewis! Now I did love I LOVE LUCY! Back when in the early shows! I've been watching re-runs of MASH. The first two seasons were the best to me---

dramas on for me to watch any reruns.

To save $80 a month on my cable and internet
bill I just went to the 'basic' package on Comcast.
I'll lose a drama or two, but what bothers me
is losing MSNBC. CNN is inferior IMO, and I
won't touch FOX. Not even any BBC-America
is available. Boo-hoo...

I'm not generally one for fantasy, though I might
try it later on and like it. Odd though that I enjoy
both walking Dead series. Crime and psychological
dramas are my favorites, and science fiction if it's
well done and not too far out. I really liked 'Big
Little Lies' on HBO. Amazon Prime and Netflix are
making some terrific original series, and running
lots of foreign series I like. I watch almost no
comedy stuff at all. AMC has been producing lots
of excellent programming. And, along comes Hulu
with 'A Handmaids Tale' and who knows what else?
There's more than enough!

Just a quick reply---hubby is on the hospital, so time and focus is limited! My favorite is The Walking Dead--with The Fear quickly gaining favor! It's really good this year!!! As for Game of Thrones! Love it, but it's so much more than a fantasy ~spin~! My sister finally tried it after my multiply urgings! Now she loves it!! I will have to try some you're viewing!

I figured if he's in the hospital it's not just a
'fun' visit. 
When I economized on Comcast it's no more
'Fargo' and a few others of my favorites. But,
I get to keep HBO.
Netflix - there's one of their 'original' series
I find exceptionally good - "Bloodline", about
a FL Keys family, a few murders committed
to keep a generally respectable family going,
[I'm in the 3rd season, episode 32].

Well he's seriously ill, with COPD! A chronic lunge condition
so we sort of take it one day at a time.
