The welovefine competition for a Marvel Villains design (being judged by Tom Hiddleston & Jill Pantozzi) was due in June 22nd, 5am GMT. To quote Douglas Adams, “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” This time I think I’m going to blame a stomach virus (first time off work since last Sept) and the fact that I only found out about the comp a few weeks before the due date. I sneaked 3 of my 5 intended doodles in at 5.15am but alas none scraped though to the voting stage (My understanding is that there were 2000 submissions of which 708 got through).

I’m actually hoping I got rejected due to the epic deadline fail or my complete inability to make decent thumbnails rather than the quality of the art itself.

I think Vertigo & Enchantress are done. There was an idea for Mephisto I never even started, one for Bella Donna Boudreaux that needs finishing and the one for Zaladane can pass for finished but needs serious tweaking. When I'm done I might just have a go at making my own damn T-Shirt.
