like ridding a bike, make take a couple scrapped knees but soon you will be coasting down the road.
Now, your lines look good, so you have that still going for you, and I enjoy the whiskers and stuff. However, the proportions/perspective seem to be off, and I can see it more so in the nose and backside eye (kitties right eye) It almost appears that you did a side view and a top view, put them together in hopes it made a 3/4 view. Ok, that may have been a little harsh, but I know you can do better with perspective (-;
I enjoy the pinks, they made a really nice touch, and the colour of the eyes are nice. They really catch you and draw you in. However, the eye colour is not blended enough to keep you there.
Overall, its way better than I can do, and I just love you working on black, so keep doing it (-; I look forward to more and hope I was not too harsh 6-;

Too true. It's nice to have someone commenting on my work who sees the same flaws I do - let's me know I'm not just crazy.
Perspective/proportion are the hardest aspects of drawing for me, and the first things to slide when I'm not practicing continually. Detail rendering skills seem to stay pretty good, but I tend to distort proportions in one direction or another. The piece I started last night is like that. It's turning out very good, but is elongated vertically, giving the cat a completely different expression from the original photo. I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
