Watercolor painting from November 2011, which was posted with that one for the #Dragon-Fanatics 's contest:The two pictures don't be together anymore since the depicted characters don't belong to the same stories. I had forgotten to re-upload it here until now...

There's that part for which I've always loved watercolour - the trees in the background, the stains they're made of. I love so much the darker edges of watercolour stains.
The tail and scales are my favourite parts, apart from that (:

Thanks for sharing, I asked you because I'm always thinking if is better or not to start with the subject (I'm used to start with the subject)...when I start the background I really take care to not ruin the work I did with the subject.
