Here is a quite quick A4 sized painting - as deadline is tomorrow! - done for the "Back to basics" art challenge hold by watercolorists . The aim was to use only primary colours (red, yellow, blue) to create a watercolour artwork.
Then I used here paints from Sennelier : quinacridone red (679), lemon yellow (501) and phthalocyanine blue (326).
I am amazed how we can mix any colours with only three. The only difficulty was to get dark/black tone (I never managed actually) and to not use white ink. It has been a very interesting experience.. now I know I don't need a whole half-pan box when I'm travelling!

Out of all the fair few water-colour paintings I've seen here on DeviantArt thus far, this one is absolutely one of the finest in its class.
The natural earthly tones of green and brown, and a lovely night sky blue are a delight for the eye. But the white doe, the very
center-figure of this piece, is what truly captures the viewer's attention with its ethereal bluish white colouration.
A scene of nature in its purity, yet at the same time a scene of magic. Well done, fellow deviant!

Nope, pas de blanc à part le blanc du papier.
J'ai essayé pour le noir mais c'était jamais assez noir.
