This is my life's story.
I'm in bed, class is over, it's Christmas break, and I just scored top marks in film school. I have a job, and I'm waiting for my shift to start later in the afternoon. I'm working, my father's proud of me; I'm pursuing my dream to become a film making and finally things are fucking coming together; and then I get a text from my sister: dad's in the hospital. He died an hour before I got there, from an embolism.
They fired me for taking time off to arrange and attend my dad's funeral. Things were looking so bright before that text. After a year of no job, feeling like living shit, I was working, I was in film school, and I was making money and earning A's: then life decided to take a steaming shit on me. Out of fucking left field.

Thanks, you're very sweet. The part that hurts the most about film school is my dad's the only reason I'm enrolled. He paid for my tuition; and now he's gone. And I don't know how to honor his memory. My old man was Mormon, so, most of the things I write about he wouldn't approve of, and half of the time I feel like the last thing he did for me will never amount to anything; because I'm not good enough at the one thing I'm actually good at.

i know the feeling a of losing a job i lost my other job awhile ago (i got laid off at least its better than being fired...and get this they promised my job back but they closed for good)

Lol, I can totally relate to this. Just went through this experience. Learning to deal with standing on my feet for over five hours at a time plus moving constantly to be let go after a few weeks.
