The dark mermaid of the sea...I had a lot of fun creating this piece which is part photo manipulation and part airbrushing.

Wow, fantastic work! The human half looks surprisingly like me...O.o
I do have to say that the tail isn't as well done as the rest of it - it looks like her tail's directly underneath her (at that angle) rather than to the side. Also the texture could be a bit sharper.

Very nice work! got to be a fav! critique...the tail (excuse the pun!) tails off a bit...which looks a little odd compared to how well you have done the rest of the painting, and maybe she needs a bit of shadow underneath her to make her look fully as though she is sat on the sand...but minor points as she is gorgeous!

Definitively!! This is my Favorite pic/painting/picture in all the over world... It has everything that likes me, well, the night is missing, but there's is a precious dark mermaid, her long black hair, her face is found, the beautiful sea... yeahhh!!! yeahh!! oh, my God! oh!! is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L-L ! ! ! ! Just BEAUTIFUL.

Photo-manipulations often look very artificial and unfortunately ugly, but not your picture. The mermaid blends in very well with the seascape.

Very nice looking, but I must say mermaids have been done to death. Though you did a great job in this picture, I would say strive for more interesting and thought provoking pictures. She doesn't seem to fit with her background, its not as if she was drawn with it, just layered over it. I guess work on lighting, to make her seem as if she belongs. I think if I were to glance at this I would find it to be beautiful, but if I stared at it for a long time, I would feel nothing.
