Okay. But it'll be a chapter in another story. Maybe the next chapter of Randomness and Craziness. But I will send you the link for that.

You and me both - I am a total Victorian at heart. I mean, yes, sure, I love my electricity, running water, decent medical care, etc. but I really love the clothes and custom of the Victorian Age. Well, actually I like almost all history, but Victorians especially. ^^,
So you're seen 'Immortal Beloved' then...? (pleasesayyesomg)

Starting from the bottom - maybe not? Haha, it's really hard to say, but I really find my mentality pretty "victorian".
As for "Farinelli" - it's a 1994 Italian/French film (it won a Golden Globe for best foreign language film and was also nominated for an Oscar), not about a composer, but a singer - Farinelli (Carlo Maria Broschi), who is considered one of the greatest castratos in history. The movie has amazing score (to provide a castrato voice they have used a digital mix of a soprano Ewa Małas-Godlewska and a counter-tenor Derek Lee Ragin). I think it's really worth watching. It's quite touching, the costumes and settings (1700s) are beautifully done and the story's quite interesting too.
As for Chopin - I don't enjoy "Impromptu" with Grant either. And Judy Davis in the role of George Sand is just euh. Now, there's a Polish movie (yes, I'm Polish ) about Chopin and his affiliation with George Sand. It's much better in my opinion, altough I myself am not SO fond of Chopin. In Poland there's a real hype on him (or at least it has been some years ago) and I can't say I dislike him - but for me he's a tiny little bit like an "inflated balloon". At least that's the feeling I get over him in Poland. As for the movie - its title is "Chopin: Desire for Love" and it stars Piotr Adamczyk and Danuta Stenka, pretty well-acclaimed Polish actors (maybe You've seen Adamczyk in the films about the pope John Paul II. I don't like these films that much but whatever - it's our national pride after all. ) I know that the movie was shot two times - in Polish and English so You can easily watch it if You haven't already. I think this one is worth it.
As for Paganini - there are two movies of which I know - "The Magic Bow", but I didn't watch it, therefore I don't know of its quality. It's pretty old - 1946 and since I don't like early cinema I never bothered to watch although I propably should, cause the music is amazin I've heard. The other one is "Paganini", staring Klaus Kinski, his wife and son (1989). I hardly remember it - it was quite dark, but I never really enjoyed Kinski's work, therefore I didn't even like this movie so much as to remember it well. There's lots of sex there, which I didn't like all that much. You can check them out, but in my opinion they're not that good.
More good films (according to me): "Mozart's sister" - a French biopic about Nannerl Mozart (the costumes have blown my mind), and "Io, don Giovanni" (not sure if there's an English translation) about lirycist Lorenzo da Ponte and his affiliation with Mozart. Don't like Mozart in this film (not Tom Hulce ) but da Ponte is quite good. Oh, and one more - "Antonio Vivaldi, un Prince a Venice" (once again, not sure about the English version". With Stefano Dionisi (Farinelli) as Vivaldi. Not as good as Farinelli, still I love Stefano (and Vivaldi), so I enjoyed it.
Hope I helped.

Haha, it's only three. Madagascar 3. In fact these kind of films like Madagascar are always fun to watch and I watch them whenever I feel depressed, sad, weary and they just brighten me up - light, happy film. Not to "wise" but nice to be around them sometimes.
And as for biopics - yes, they are all foreign ones, mainly Italian/French. Basically it's very sad, cause it seems that the more money they have in "Hollywood", they spend it on bigger and bigger trash. My love for costumes is suffering because they are just making it all worse and worse (of course I'm not talking of rare "costume pearls" like "Elizabeth. The Golden Age", "Marie Antoinette" "The Duchess" or even "Cold Mountain"). But the sad part is that some time ago, like 70s, 80s, early 90s when they had less money they did better costumes. For example the NRD/Czechoslovakian film "Tri Orisky pro Popelku" ("Three Nuts for Cinderella") - a small budget, lots of troubles on set and AMAZING Tudor costumes!
Oh, and I'm so happy I could've been of assistance.

Now my theory is proven true.
Raoul and Christine mental capacities comprise of mainly cotton candy and gelatin, notwithstanding their social aptitudes does not exceed puerile teenagers. (please pardon that caustic attack, but this is my opinion of that pair...)
Erik is a genius whose entire virtuosity and brilliance that only a seldom and persecuted few have been compared.
Initially when my sister first rented the movies , I deemed it innocuous films, and consider them quite beneficial, as it displayed kids confronting peer pressure about being pegged into cliques and pursuing only stereotypical activities and passions. But, as for for musical and dramatic, not to mention social and spiritual substances, it fall woefully flat against such standards as a film like "Amadeus " has upheld.
Erik's suffering is only naturally imaginable, being cajoled excessively and taunted and belittled into enduring such mentally detrimentally films is somehow a gracious yet hilarious nod to that odd genre of black comedy.
Regarding the artistic merits:
You never cease to amaze me. Countless times this has been said, but what else can be spoke here but the truth?
Christine has a such a Kelly-esque grace and charm, while Raoul, appears to have least been molded more pleasing, he appears to have gradually eradicated some of his arrogant, childish, effectuate foppish ways and mannerism, or else you have toned them down considerably, and now we can all tolerate him somewhat more fairly.
Erik, is rendered with such a classic brooding tragic anti-heroic, though I see some of your wit and sarcasm surfaced at times in this delightful characterization.
I suffered the same as our poor Erik: my family fell asleep watching both the film of War and Peace ad the opera of War and Peace! What gall! Though I credit my brother for being excited about the battle scenes...

You are most welcome!
Black Comedy, life is like Black Comedy, for all men are scorned and laughed by the Devil in this mad world...
Yes, he now he appears to resemble a man, not some effeminate fop who is more feminine than his own sisters!
No, I have been to the cinema in ages!
But I plan to buy it on DVD!

Haha, I'm glad someone commented on the interaction - I had so much fun planning out what they'd say and how they'd get along with each other.
Thanks! Yeah, Christine's hair tends to have done a great deal of "evolving" since I first attempted a more Disney-ish/cartoon-y style.
Amadeus... hmmn... a bit difficult to describe. It’s one of those movies where you CAN sum it up in one sentence but then it sounds awful. I’ll try in a few sentences: it’s a biography of the life of Mozart told by a supposedly insane Antonio Salieri in the form of a confession to a priest. Basically, Salieri’s #1 dream in life was to be a great composer and praise God through his music. As a kid he made a deal with God that if God granted him the ability to compose great music, he’d live his life entirely for God… or something to that effect. At first this seems to be going well, then enter Mozart at stage left.
The guy is basically an 18th century rockstar. Loud, obscene, drinks a lot, fools around with women, spends money recklessly, parties 24/7 -- and still writes beautiful music, while Salieri, who has devoted his life to fulfilling his end of his ‘Deal with God’ still only writes mediocre stuff. And from there it’s just Salieri getting increasingly pissed off and starting to concoct murder plans. And then it’s just a race between Salieri and Mozart’s reckless lifestyle to see who gets to off him first.
…
Yeah, actually it’s a lot better than what I’ve written. More complex, at any rate. It features what I think is the best script ever written, which is shown perfectly in this one beautiful scene which I think is probably the best scene ever in any movie. Ever. Period.

True. Although the vast majority of the movie's fanbase is underage. I don't know whether this makes it better or actually worse. O___o
