Description
Here is Chuck Bocco.The muscle to back up Hawk Solomon. I gave him a beard and a lot of body hair and used mostly browns.

I was working on a new technique for doing body hair, I had never done it before and was a little unsure of how it was looking. I kept feeling it was a fine line between not enough and too much.

Well, as a hairy dude I know for a fact that if you have that much chest hair it tends to creep up your shoulders and around your back. Sexy? Not so much. Manly? Hells yeah!

I wrestled with the amount of hair. Facial Hair was uncommon enough in that era. On this line I really wanted it to look period accurate and classic noir.

Facial hair was uncommon, but if he is, as he kind of looks like, a harbor or railroad worker, it wouldn't have been that out of line with the period.

I think his beard and body hair should have been more brownish to resemble Chewbacca's fur color.

The hair and beard are brown. In fact they color was called true brown. It is the same color I have used on every chewbacca I have done.
The darker image makes it look less brown. The hair was drawn with a sharpie and I don't have ultra fine brown sharpies.

On my site I put that he was a non english speaking immigrant who solo had helped out on a case a while back.
So pretty much the same idea.
