La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~ is eating my life and I got inspired to paint this right after watching episode 16... Such an angsty episode! T^T Though the classical piece that was played during the beginning (Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik") totally wasn't angsty at all. I think I watched that episode for about three times, lol.Anyway, La Corda is all about music and romance and Tsukimori Len is your usual angsty bishonen who plays the violin rather intensely, and he's got a pretty angsty past with it too! D; And it just so happened that my Winamp switched to Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and it kinda suited Len so well (intense, powerful, ya know~), and I guess I was inspired.
Also, forgive me for that badly drawn violin... I had no reference on hand. /weeps+ 5 hours / watercolour / ink pens / white pen

Len~~ 
I really love this work and the feeling in it - I get both a peace and an intensity from it, and it suits Len so well. technically, there's a few things off on the violin. I can only see 2 pins, and the bow normally plays closer to the bridge, and the strings go over said bridge, etc. but I think it's wonderful!
And I absolutely love the way you did his hair! And the background

I had no reference for the violin back then, but I think I should have definitely referenced one! But thanks for pointing it out, I'll learn from it.

I love this a lot but the only thing that bothers is me is that you drew him a tad too realistic. :];; That can also be viewed as a good thing, but personally, it makes it look like it's not him. And also the fact that he has no hand.
But I love this piece and I love the anime series. c: Very wonderful.

I love la corda.... but fanart IS scarce. sad.
maybe you should try watercolor pencils, theyr'e supper easy to controll and work great with the accual watercolors for details and lines.
But that realy is beautiful.

I prefer using the actual paints even if I'm not very good at it, because blending is much easier as opposed to using watercolour pencils. I shall practice more!

Ahaha, I ain't no sensei... Well, it took time for me to learn how to work with watercolour as well. Basically, you have to keep practising and I blended it when the paper was still wet, with a dry brush with colour. ^^
