Description Wanted to show the two materials side by side for those interested in commissions and wanted a closer look at their two main options.

These two materials are the main ones I use at shapeways. white strong and flexible, and Frosted Detail. More specific data can be found at the shapeways material page. [link]

Anyways, The top left is the white strong and flexible (wsf) but with the polish, so the sort of fuzz look or slight texture has been smoothed and the layers are a little smoother. All 3D printing has some layering effect. the wsf generally produces layers on one side of the model but not all sides. I have shown the layered side on the wand.
The keyblades on the right side do not have the polish, but it is the same material. All items and detail of the object like points and parts must be at least a .7mm to be able to be printed, to have the detail show up in the print, I recommend at least 1mm, 2mm to make sure the detail is more clear and durable.

The bottom pictures are the frosted detail material. They have a frosted detail and a frosted ultra Detail (FUD). The ultra being a step up on detail then the frosted detail. Both types of this material are superior on detail and is typically much smoother than the wsf material. Some items Printed in this, over time I have seen turn a little white on the edges and the layered effect becomes more pronounced. Not sure why that is. Still a very nice material. this one is more expensive then the wsf and is a harder to paint. So is the wsf when it is polished. It is a tiny bit less durable then the wsf, but you can go smaller and get finer detail.

Feel free to ask questions, and take a closer look.

Do you accept files to 3-D and then ship?

I create the digital 3D files for 3D printing. I use a company online called shapeways to do the 3D printing for me.

I create the 3d file, then up load to shapeways, they 3D print it and then mail it back to me where I do any work needed before selling.
