I really enjoy her skirt in this one! And her lovely, curly-wavy hair. Oh, and the little tufts of beach-grass~

looks really good (:
as for reference, I advise you to search on a stock website like shutterstock.com
when you type in there for example 'skirt blowing in wind', then you will get bleeding-eyes-free photos ^^

LOL Purpose of the google search: To show you things you didn't want to see or never even thought you'd see when you don't want to see it.
And skirts are a pain to draw. OH there is a book that's amazing with references for clothing (at least I like it). Look up "How to Draw Manga: Costume Encyclopedia". I have volume 1, everyday fashion. It breaks down clothing by part. For example, that skirt, the book covers all the different types of skirts from straight skirts, flared skirts, fringed skirts, pegged skirts, full skirts, tiered skirts, diagonal hemline skirts, pelum skirts.... everything you could think of. Then it breaks down each skirt with how it fits on the body, how it moves, what it looks like if it has layers and more. If you are interested in the book let me know. I have a scanned copy saved on my external hard drive. I can zip it up and see about sending it your way. I have a dropbox. I also have "1995 - Burne Hogarth - Dynamic Wrinkles And Drapery" which is a good read for a realistic portrayal of understanding how cloth moves and flows against the body. it's a PDF. Let me know!

Oooh, that sounds great. I'm going to see if my library has a hard copy first. I like hard copies for art books. Thank you!
