I'm well aware of that, it's called paying attention to lighting, reflection and shadows. If it was a bright sunny day, yes I agree that he would be more red, but at sunset, with so much yellow in the sky, its going to reflect off him and turn him a bit more orangey. If I had made him bright red like he is, the whole thing would have looked garish and unnatural.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make you all... weird about it. It wasn't meant to piss you off. Saw this on LJ in Dracophiliac, and looked at it, thought it was cool, realized it was Khirsah (a local, personal friend of mine) and I was like... buh, wrong color?? I realize what you were trying to attempt in the lighting, but I still think he would have been a bit more red- what with how red he's supposed to be.

But whatever, not my commission, not my money. I was just saying...

It's ok, you didn't piss me off. I went back and looked at it this morning and adjusted the color because after REALLY looking at it, I did agree with that you said. It was a long day of 90+ degree weather and dealing with two little kids that did me in yesterday and made me a grouch. Sorry if I snapped at you.

Well my first comment might have been out of line too. Some random person you don't even know comes waltzing onto your DA to tell you a commissioned piece of artwork you did for someone else was the wrong color. Honestly I did it out of goofyness, though. Not to instigate any sort of silly DA drama flamewar.

Anyway, I'm glad we're at an understanding. Sorry for this. And it is a very nice picture! I love the background.
