a ninetales belonging to one of my OCs in a pokémon trainer AU.
he's very fluffy! partially because i like how that looks, but also because he's based on one of the earliest characters i had back when i was a child, a sled-pulling samoyed named Snowy.

i intended to have more art posted by now since the dota 2 international finally ended, but this piece proved to be immensely frustrating with multiple setbacks, one of which demanded i completely remove all the color and drag the picture back down to lineart to fix some major problems. i kind of hate this picture now, tbh.
this was also intended to be part of a series of portraits for all the pokémon Snowy's trainer has, but i find this idea more daunting with each attempt. every time i try to work on one of these it comes out so badly i have to spend a lot of time fixing things, or just scrap the picture entirely. i guess it's for the better, i probably need to focus more on full-body work. these were supposed to be just a fun little jaunt into self-indulgent art and not a descent into Art Hell. oh well!
