Must be the little of my own style I tried to cram in. Turns everything immensely huge. XD
It was announced only last year, alongside a movie. Animated series and films tend to take a huge amount of time.
I wonder if they keep it 2D? Or who'll be animating it anyway? Do the old characters return? Will the show keep the kick-ass world criticising theme to it, alongside some amazing imagination for the kids?
...I'm kinda scared of that show now. 8(

They started ( FINALLY!!! ) rerunning it here too. Just last Sunday, and right after Moomins. It's been a long time since something that epically good has come out of weekend morning animation!

Funny series, tough never understood why "so happy" is it's theme, in the first episode the guy's parents and siblings are killed, and in the next episodes he keeps getting betrayed or arrested all the time too.
Show was way to depressing for me. But yay, happy theme song.

You obviously haven't seen the Alfred material on Youtube then.
The DVD-box release of the first season sold crazy well here, and they just began re-runs last sunday morning. I hear they're releasing season 2 this falls, and I'm gonna be the first person to get it! >8DDD
It just reflected Alfred's admirable headstrong positive personality; no matter what bad things he faced, he'd allways believe in the good things turning up in the end. Something the cynical and smartass generation of today can never comprehend.
