very nice picture my friend. You are right that a regions largest predator does act as that ecosystem's biggest protector (Hyenas, Painted Dogs; and Big Cats are the reason wolves never invades Africa for instance). In that right, Yellowstone's "Guardian" would likely be the Grizzly Bear, but I have no qualms about other say wolf. Good work
