Description Her name is Serenity, which I actually came up with LONG before the movie came out under the same name. I actually stole it from one of my friend's list of favorite baby names... At any rate, I spent way too much time on this over the course of year or so. Thanks to =darkmatterzone (Model: Hannah) for letting me use his picture.

----------

Serenity (n): 1. a disposition free from stress or emotion, 2. the absence of mental stress or anxiety.

From the personal journal of Ravi N. Gupta, M.D., PhD:

After many long months of surgery and rehabilitation, twenty-one year old Serenity is leaving the hospital for the first time. She marks a victory for medical science on two fronts – a human life preserved against the odds, and the successful fusion of organic and artificial body parts. After an explosion in her residence, she was brought to my facility with nearly half of her body charred beyond any hope of repair.

Her left limbs have been reconstructed using prototype technology that integrates with the existing nervous system, allowing her to manipulate them much as she would natural appendages. Other organs have been connected in such a way that her autonomous nervous system operates them exactly as it did previously. Every one of her bodily systems is being partially maintained by artificial methods, as many of her internal organs have had to be completely or partially reconstructed.

Appendage hardware has been integrated into a metal/plastic hybrid matrix strong enough to repel all but direct hits from bullets and other small projectiles. This integrated nature minimizes loss of function in the event of projectiles entering the body and allows the system to find alternate paths through the matrix if a region is significantly damaged. Receptors incorporated into Serenity’s facial structure absorb energy from any light source, natural or artificial. Since the entire system is designed to operate on minimal power, excess energy is stored in capacitors throughout the body to allow it to operate in darkness for extended periods of time.

Everything has been coated with metallic plasma “skin” that adheres only to the interior matrices, allowing other potentially harmful substances to roll off without damaging the internal equipment. Additionally it isolates conductive components from airborne gasses that could cause corrosive reactions to occur. It is nearly completely transparent to allow light to enter the subcutaneous receptors, and its semi-liquid state allows Serenity to enjoy unrestricted range of motion.

While every effort has been made to allow Serenity to function as normally as possible, she is carrying the most advanced human enhancement technology our organization has developed. She is to remain with us as an agent I am sure will prove to be powerful asset – her artificial components give her an advantage over unmodified individuals. Her artificial side has been built to specifications exceeding her previous abilities and does not experience the same fatigue organic systems do after extended use. Although she is capable of great strength, her systems are extremely precise, rendering any “accidental” usage of strength highly unlikely.

Serenity’s cybernetic nature creates a unique imbalance in her overall body. Half her body is tireless, free of pain, and powered by light energy, while the rest functions more or less like any other human being. Her therapy has enabled her to manage her new abilities, but how she will function in everyday life is yet to be determined.

oh my, this is a really bad manip... i'm sorry to say that, and this is not about taste, i'm purely objective here, comparing to other manips i've seen.
this one is like.. from the 80's 90's, when they had shitty programs.
you should really try to do better
and i'm writing that because you accept comments. and i felt like saying what i thought.
and this is not to feel better about myself, i don't do manips.
i hope you're open minded enough to accept negative critique.

Dude, congrats on getting this out. I know you've been working on this for... ever. Its great to see it finally come out, especially after watching it evolve from a crappy filter effects run to something with finesse and that personal touch.
