1st of all, I do love the colors, they bring the cool and calm but also feel very flowing. I can see that the colors and lines are very clean and no rough edges. The mane is also done very well, very flowing in the solar winds in the sky. I do have to give praise that this was achieved in gimp. Β The background also has that really clean blend between two colors and it fits very well with the theme.

Beautiful job on this! It really has a majestic and "out of this world" aura to it. The purples, blues, and whites are so vibrant that it does its part of giving off the feeling of space. I can tell that you had some fun creating this. All I can say is that the way the wing looks seem a bit off. It is the only problem I can see with this picture. Besides that, it looks well done.

This is epic, between the deep blacks, brilliant blues, flowing lines, stars in motion, and everything, this would make an awesome poster. It also looks like it would be fun to paint.
About my only gripe about this is I would saw about two thirds of his horn off, and even then it looks like it would be unwieldy. In fact, my dragon Emanuel finds that if he let's his horns grow too long, he's always banging them into everything around him. (Hopefully the reference to my own character isn't out of place.)

It's a personal preference of mine, I like longer horns when it comes to drawing alicorns and traditional unicorns. I've always thought animals with long horns were very beautiful, almost ancient looking; like the Long Horned Cattle,Β Long Horned Mountain Sheep, and the extinct Irish Elk. But I can see why some wereΒ to prefer them to be smaller (And no, it's fine, I see what you're saying x3).

I'm not even entirely sure what to critique on this... I really love it! A poster of this would be so beautiful. You used the perfect colours to compliment each other. Only thing I can think of would be to work on making your shading less round, think about where the light is hitting instead of putting the light right in the middle of the limb. Doing this makes the character look as though it's made of plastic.
Extremely beautiful, wonderful mane and nightsky. Wonderful job!

Honestly this portrait is bloody beautiful, it was hard to find anything to critique. The texture is great even! It's an amazing portrait my friend, I'm blown away. Lighting is difficult to get a hang of, I'm still learning myself. It looks beautiful the way it is, but from what I have learned it should look better the other way. It's hard to say though, really. Ponies are cartoonish so does it really matter? Man, I'm pretty bad at this critique thing, huh? Hehe. Again, great job!Β

Naaah! I can definately see what's wrong with the shine, and I'm glad that someone pointed it out to me. Digital art isn't exactly my forte, I'm more used to traditional art. It's frustrating too, cause sometimes I'll look at the shines on my digital work and wish I was working with a brush or a pen insead of a trackpad. XD

I love the use of the colors in this that really fit Luna in a more majestic way.even the space hair is fluid looking rather than a window to space. I was wondering if the missing crown Β and chest plate would affect the outcome of the image. However I can't seem to really imagine the crown or the plate in this image regardless as its absence seems to add to the majesty of the piece. Wonderful job as always.<3
