A pub night?
Aaron had managed to convince Eli to go with them despite nightfall’s approach. With a hand on Aaron’s shoulder and Maja’s harness handle in the other, Eli was guided to find the way to the guest house where the Palinka party was to have its showdown. Neither Aaron nor Eli knew what Palinka was but they were soon to find out.

Picky as he was Eli didn’t have any plans on trying this fruity vodka, but was eventually convinced by Vidar. He was familiar with the man whom he had met once before a few years ago at Imperials. Shockingly he actually enjoyed the drink and could add Palinka to his short list of drinks and liquor that he liked; it was a list he could count on one hand.

After the short interaction with Vidar they kept a bit to themselves. Aaron was a shy guy to the core and Eli just wasn’t in the mood. They sat by a table by a window, mostly observing and listening in on other people’s conversations.

Eli’s pale green eyes landed on a familiar face in the tavern. Hiriel? He didn’t know she was going to be here. And wait a minute, who the hell is that? He squinted at a guy next to her whom she seemed awfully friendly with. Did she have a boyfriend? Was this why he was struggling so hard to get her attention? Eli pulled a face of disdain, it was visible enough to make Aaron raise an eyebrow when he returned with a couple of new shots of Palinka.
“What is it now?” He wondered and sat down, following Eli’s gaze.
“Nothing.” Eli turned back to the table as he realized he was being too obvious with his outward reactions to have Aaron pick up on it. “Thank you” he added when seeing the shot glass Aaron had fetched for him. He sighed and picked up the glass, sipping on the vodka as if it was whiskey. This was going to be a long trail, longer than long.
