It's May, I saw the banner for MerMay, had to draw something! Lol

It's not done, just a sketch. Some people met the mermaid and gave her some ice cream. She is shocked at how good it is! If it's not clear (which will be, when colored, hopefully), she is laying on the beach, at the edge of the water, and her ice cream is melting faster than she can eat it!

I want to do the line art, coloring, all that jazz. Just not sure I will have time, so wanted to get the sketch posted at least before May is over! She will be colored kinda like a squarespot anthias, which is what I used to design her tail and fins (see an article and picture about it here: www.australiangeographic.com.a… ). Her back fin is meant to be slightly transparent. I am in love with her ear too! Haven't decided if she will have jewelry or a piercing, which would be so cute on that long ear! Also not sure if I will cover her whole tail with scales or cheat like in the sketch! I have done a mermaid before, colored it with pens, pencils, and a metallic sharpie! I did ALL the scales. But she is... well, not clothed lol. Just hair covering some stuff. So I haven't decided if I will post it. Also it's a couple years old and just not my favorite. If someone asks for it specifically, I will post it. But no one reads these, right? lol
