Description Back when I first joined deviantART (back in "the day"), I remember looking fondly at other deviants' portfolios and wishing I had the opportunity to take similar photos. Well I recently had the opportunity to make an attempt at +olya 's Humanity In Stairs. I have been fascinated by the staircase at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago for some time, and now ... FINALLY ... I have a series of shots of that same staircase.

This is my first pic; a favorite of my dear friend *nrgizrbuni 's. Thanks for the title Buni. This pic is dedicated to you.

+olya , thanks for the inspiration.

Nikon 5700. Laying on my back. Enjoy.

The POV is slightly off-putting. err... disorienting, rather....

I really like it though. Very, very, very nice and great composition and.. stuff...

This requires some time to grasp the angles and lines fully, a very nice shot, and the greyscale works very well here, too!

It is such a lovely capture, very eye catching and sort of abstract. abstract with photography is much harder to achieve than with digital or traditional means of painting, mind you. your talent has reached another peak with this piece

Very nice, just about a perfect composition. It does look a little bit flat in tonality though, maybe just a few curve adjustments would increase the feeling of dynamic range. But yes, that architecture is fascinating.

A gorgeous shot. Rather reminds me of a leaf, as the architectural style represents...

Cool.

Great depth (or should I say height?) in this one. Love the different, subtle differences in tone ... greyscale is just perfect here. And the play of lines is very interesting too. Looking forward to see more of MoMAC

wow, amazing photo.. definately works well in black and white... those stairs are almost alien... they look like they're from another dimension

Absolutely wonderful. The offcenter nature really makes me feel dizzy and off balance. It's really interesting how the lack of symmetry can be so non-symetrical. Good work!

Ah, good title, Jennifer...I love it! Nice work on this, buddy-boo! I love the contrasts of tones and lines, and the geometrics are nicely composed, too. A beauty...I loved it when you first showed it to me, love it, now, excellent capture.

Aww...too sweet. back at ya. Great shot, as I've already told you. Thanks for the preview Again...love the perspective and the stark contrast. Excellent geometric composition. Never seen anything like this. Maybe I'll get to see this too someday.
