Mufasa looks on and smiles as Simba tries to pose like his father whom he adores so.Hehe, you know I can't go too long without a little Lion King fanart. Another old idea finally brought up, dusted off and put to canvas where it belongs.
Done in Photoshop Elements, background entirely hand painted with hard rounds, varied opacity
Time taken...no idea! I was in and out on it all yesterday afternoon, night and then some more today O:
FULL VIEW please. I know it's huge, but I hope it's worth the load.

oh, and a comment on how to make it look even better: Try cropping about one- forth of the area between the rock and the grass, that's look awesome then IMO.

Woah Dude, you're on a regular art overload lately! Sweet!
The picture is really nice, the only thing that's bothering me is that Mufasa's lineart is thicker than Simba's, it somehow makes it evident you shrunk down Simba to make him fit... I think it could be fixed if you just duplicate his lineart layer a few times until it's as thick as Mufasa's. But other than that it's well done as always...
As I've said before, you're really getting great at the backgrounds and I'd love to see you try a different setting sometime as well, something you haven't done before, like... a forest or a beach or maybe even a city.

Ahhh....yes, I was wondering if the lineart would be an issue. Then I thought, since Mufasa is bigger, his lineart could be, too? But I guess it's always the same in the movies...Thanks for catching that.
Oh, and yeah! I agree, I've just got to try some other environments than TLK for backgrounds. Those are great suggestions, also. I was actually thinking of doing a beach/island concept soon...maybe.
