I've had this MMD program for a little over a week now and I'm still not sure how to animate them, so I just pose them in ways I find appealing.Note: Disney owns them and I didn't make them. I only
posed/edited them together.

I've heard of GIMP before, but have never used it.

GIMP is a photo editor program. It's rather useful, but it takes a while to learn how to use if it's not something you're used to. Heck, it took me a long time. You can put images into layers, edit them accordingly (perhaps add shadow, colorize, resize, so on), and save it as pretty much any file you need it to be in. GIMP's regular save format is .xcf, which is just so the image will save in according layers so you can come back to the project later, but you can essentially export it to whatever you need.
