Hi thank you for your comment! The image that shows the front of the painting is scanned, instead the picture that shows the cradle is made with my camera.
I think that is better to use the scanner whenever you can. For bigger paintings that doesn't fit into the scanner, I scan small section at the time and after I use photoshop photomerge to "create the collage" and have the whole complete image.
