Seriously, that game has more single men in it than any other Harvest Moon game, and you can only marry the girls, who are plain as heck, btw.I was originally going to have Mayor Godwin in the back, but when I started running around in the game trying to talk to him to get a reference, he was nowhere to be found.
Curse you, rainy holidays!
So I went with Wesley instead. I've always found him kinda creepy anyway...
But yes.
Totally unfair that you can't marry Russell. Or have, like, B-Fries status or something.
LOL This is the first time I've actually completed a comic strip idea I've had while playing a game. And I've had a million. No idea what led to this momentous occasion.

Most of the girls were really bland. There were a few I liked, like Tabitha and... actually I don't remember the others. ...Oh! Actually, the only other girl I liked was the one you couldn't marry, the one who was divorced from Neuman I think. XD
The guys were so much more appealing. I liked Russel and the traveling salesman. Too cute~

Yeah. Tabitha, Sharron, and Sabrina were pretty. I liked Mei, even though you had to get a fish from the shell traded from someone else to propose to her... And Ivan is pretty cute as well ^^

XD Yes. But Russell comes in second to Lukas because I love his Shakespearean crap and love monologues (except for the REALLY long one where he talks about all the girls and he can't decide) especially when he says Good Morning to me.

I agree with that, but when you look at the other Harvest Moon games, they all look like a bunch of pixels. I mean, like the first ever Harvest Moon, they were all a bunch of pixels you were meant to love one of them and marry them.

In Rune Factory, I actually found the girls to be much more realistic- just 'normal' as you will. Though I suppose they would seem plain as we have gotten used to the heavily stereotyped girls of the Harvest Moon series. But yes, I wish there was a gay option! I would so have chosen Zavier
Luckily, in Rune Factory Frontier the girls' personalities are much more developed... and the guys seem even gayer for you!

They are more realistic, I guess. It's just that they all seem so similar to each other, they seem redundant. Like the same personality with different hair and outfits, whereas a lot of the other NPCs that weren't bachelorettes had really defining personalities. Like Lady Anne and Lukas~ <3

It's really good, and the girls' personalities are more defined. I'm finding Rosetta very charming, whereas I didn't before. Some girls in RF have strong personalities too, though- Bianca, Tabatha, Tori, Mei... Mist, Rosetta and Melody all seemed a bit too similar, but once you get to know them they expand more. Felicity didn't HAVE much of a personality, but she doesn't show up in RFF.

This is like all my thoughts about Rune Factory in one comic. All the girls are so boring, and I don't like any of them. My Raguna will stay forever single, I guess. AND I WUV RUSSEL. They need gay editions of these games. >>

It's such a step backwards, since most Harvest Moon games nowadays have the option to be boy or girl. But the one game with boring girls and adorable Russel, nope, nothing. Not even in the Wii remake. :/ Go figure.

Exactly. I started up the game when it came out and did a double take. I was really blown away (negatively) that they didn't have a gender option. And some of the male characters have an intriguing personality... same thing with the second game, girls are bland, etc. I haven't played the wii one, but I've witnessed it. Same thing. If they ever make another one, a boy or girl option is a must. (though I must say I love playing as Raguna.)
Oh, and you are welcome for the fave. Sorry for not realizing this wasn't recent.. and then commenting on it. I know that can be a bit irksome for some artists.

I think in Rune Factory 2, you have a gender option with your child, but then you only have like, two people to choose from as a spouse.
Raguna is cool. I like that he actually talks, while most main characters don't say anything.
But nah, it's fine. It doesn't bother me at all. I appreciate all comments and faves~ :3
