Mmm, yeah, this one's a lot better. At least in suiting the character, anyway.Fun fact: Polka dots are fun to color.
Meh, lots of looking around at dance outfits got me a lot of spandex and a lot of skirts, but neither of those really fit Comet, so I tried putting something over it to make it more... wholesome, I guess? It ended up looking pretty good, so I stuck with it. And then I added the one suspender that her current outfit has as a little throwback.
After the contest's over, I'm going to shade this. I mean, the lineart's right there, it's just adorable, so why not?

Firstly, I'm in LOVE with that shirt! It's just so adorable and so comfy looking, which is definitely something she'd want. I love the black shirt/leggings under it, because it looks like she can still run and move easily.
The suspender is a really good idea - it just adds a little something nice. ^^
And those boots are just awesome. @_@
