A eulogy for our fallen friend for never abandoning me in my time of need and for teaching all of us how to be such good students and disciples of justice.
Of all people: Why you? I'm sorry Mia. I let you down. But one of the first and most important things you have taught me always stood out. The only time I can cry now... is when it's all over. Some of the things I learned on my own, I could have learned from you. Like how I could have been there for you. How I could have stopped White before he dawned the dark era of the law. How I could have prevented the cloak of injustice from plaguing the justice system as we know it. I know "I'm sorry" isn't saying much, considering how of all the people that have suffered in the wake of the DL-6 incident, it had to be you and Maya most of all. Things between me, Pearls, Maya, Trucy, Apollo and Athena have been going great so far. Sometimes, we just wish for the chance to see you again. Saying goodbye to you has been one of the hardest things for me to do. There are things holding me back, making it impossible for me to take my mind off of you for even a split second. I think about you every day. I worry about you. I know you do the same sometimes, if not always, but I just want you to know how grateful I am and what an honor it has been for me to serve under you. I know we haven't exactly seen "eye-to-eye", and that's mostly because every time we do, Maya or Pearls has to summon you. The hardest thing for me to do is to remember everything you've taught me over the years when I started my career, but I've come to realize just how important it is if I want to maintain balance and order in our legal system, to prevent it from tearing itself apart. I remember how you have always given me the confidence to succeed. And the most important lesson of all: How you have always taught me that if I don't believe in my client, how can they believe in themselves? I just wish you could be more proud of me for following in your footsteps. But somehow I get the feeling that you already are.
