In Japanese,"poppy" is called "keshi no hana". But usually we call it "poppy;ポピー(Can you read Japanese letter?)".
Because "keshi no hana" has a bud image for the drug flower, so peple like use the neme "poppy".

Sorry I'm not good at english.But I want to study it. Please allow me writing in english.
