As she walked she scratched on the board, writing as clearly and quickly as she could. She put everything she felt Deyri needed to know into these instructions, writing small to ensure every detail would fit.
CLOSE LIGHT IS HEAVY. IT MAKES ME WEAK.
DARKNESS IS WORSE. I HAVE TO GET STRONGER.
THE EFFECTS ARE MODERATE IN THE TWILIGHT HOURS, WHEN THE SKY IS LIGHTEST.
THE CLOSER TO MIDNIGHT WE GET, THE MORE EXTREME THE LIGHT WEAKNESS WILL BE.
USE THIS TIME TO GROW AS MANY GLOWING PLANTS AS YOU CAN WITHOUT EXHAUSTING YOURSELF.

Perhaps the goat sybal could make use of them in the cool night. She paced away, now dressed in the beautiful wrappings and grey gloves alone. Her steps were sure and stable, like the mountain runners. She stood on the empty patch of sand, feet planted, hands at her side, face set like stone. Tuku watched Deyri and waited. The cool air passed over her bare arms. She did not shiver."
