I am very impressed that you managed to put this together! I have no photo manipulation skills, so this is a little like magic

thank you if you haven't looked into my mermaid galleries there a few good ones in there among the chaff that's funny; i think real artists like you are the ones with the magic the way i do photomanips (at least lately) is trying to make them look like real photos; a little geometry, a little photography, a little sculpture (i make most of my own mermaid tails and sculptures), a lot of looking for bits to combine and learning new tricks with my simple photomanipulation program.

You make tails and claim you're not a "real" artist? I think what you do is every bit as artistic (and brave! The mere thought of geometry makes me shudder!). Take this picture here for instance, I'd have to look closely before realizing there was manipulation going on. What program do you use?Oh, and your turtle tank made me laugh hard

I use mostly ArcSoft PhotoStudio 6 and Photostudio 2; it is a nice little program that doesn't cost nearly as much as adobe photoshop. of course it isn't nearly as powerful as photoshop, but that means i didn't have to learn as much, either; the best thing about version 6 is that it allows me to handle a lot of layers; version 2 has some nice features that were lost by the time they got to v6, so i keep it on an old windows 2000 computer i have so i can still use iti occasionally tweak things with another ArcSoft program, Darkroom 2, and when i want to add "atomosphere" and go away from photorealism is play with Corel Painter Essentials 4, as in Mermaid Illianna [link] the big thing is that when i decided to do some serious photomanip mermaids i saved up and bought a new Hewlett Packard PC with gigagobs of very very fast RAM, a big fat hard drive, and fast quad processors - it works nicely! with my old windows 2000 computer it would take so long to change something i was never sure if the computer was working on the command for me or had just blown up
