I asked in a poll if I should paint some Overwatch fan art. Surprisingly and/or unsurprisingly, the "Nope" won, so here we go back to one my own characters -- Emeralda the Mad. Arr.Although she wears the lofty dress of the Eberron version, this Emeralda is actually from the Pathfinder world! Or perhaps she's the Eberron-Emeralda who has just lost her airship and replaced it with a sailing, eh, boat. Or perhaps she has finally crashlanded the airship. Yah, she stays cool even when her ship is sinking.

Her charisma is pretty high. Unfortunately, her dexterity isn't very good. Well, when she drops down from the sails at least she knows how to hit the deck gracefully.

Yeah, I think Pathfinder borrows too many ideas from real life mythology and history. And science fiction, too. I don't know if they have airships, but they have dagger-wielding elves in space suits!

They're not doing much with the sci-fi stuff yet, Starfinder (I think it's called) will be out next year.
Remember Paizo went from just having a set of rules to a fully fleshed out world in very little time, that's pretty impressive.

I am a roleplayer myself, I delve into D&D/Pathfinder, but I too borrow ideas for influence in my own writings. I once read on the Eberron Campaign and found it interesting. I love the whole magic-punk setting it has. It's very unique, and of course I love the warforged as they're pretty awesome.Β

She might have many scars and her nose, for example, has been twice broken, but I think she can be sexy if she wants it. "Lady", however, now that's... trickier.

This is likely because the "yes" options were split between all the characters while the "no" and "maybe I don't really care" weren't. Not that I'm complaining. Pirates are cool also. But we all know that captains are staying on board because they don't know how to swim. XD.

You know if you really wanted to draw her you really shouldn't have asked people for their opinion. I mean, it's not like you're running a patreon and have to please your audience at all costs ^^.

I guess not. I just wanted to hear people's preferences. "Nope" was a valid choice and democracy decided the result. I didn't think it would be a big deal or real disappointment to anyone because there is so much Overwatch fan art already.
Me? I could, if I had time and inspiration, paint them all, side-by-side. Even that mech-thing! Or I could paint something else. I'm pretty neutral here.

Me, I think she's more intimidating than beautiful. She's supposed to have this big booming voice, knows how to read people's motives, moods and personality, and skillfully uses bluff or diplomacy or intimidation (which works best). She's actually a bard who barely knows how to use those blades (Ghost Crescent and Firefox) in combat, but makes everyone think she's a real Drizzt Do'Urden Mk.II!
