Description
Ileana followed Mira towards a large concrete building bearing down on the parking lot. She could not tell what its functions were, and it would have been fruitless anyway since everything in this area seemed to have lost its initial purpose since the installation of the Perimeter. Ileana also could not explain why she followed a girl she had met ten minutes ago. However, there was something magnetic and captivating in the way Mira strode to the gloomy building, clenching her teeth to hide the effort it took her to make each step and trying not to make too much noise. Ileana's shoes, though, made an unlucky compensation for the latter as every contact of her high heels with the ground resonated from the metal containers scattered around them. Fortunately, the building was not very far and the mysterious heavy footsteps that had scared them ceased to be audible.

When they were at the doors, Ileana finally dared to ask: "Why exactly do we have to go in here?"
Mira gave her a heavy look. "I've got some... unfinished business here. And we can hide here until the day comes"
"But..." Ileana began.
"You're free to go wherever you want. You won't be much of a helper anyway. Not in these pretty shoes of yours" Mira said with grim sarcasm while trying to push the door.
Ileana blushed. Mira's condescending tone insulted her. "Sure I can take care of myself! And of you, if needed. I'm a police officer, I'm reminding you. And, as a matter of fact, I have the right to formally arrest and question you about what you were doing in a no-go area in the middle of the night"
"Give it a try" Mira said even more grimly and finally made the door budge.
